Biographical/Historical note
The Scottish Office Air Photographs Unit maintained a central register of aerial survey work carried out in Scotland by commercial survey companies. Finding aids and a small print library were maintained until the transfer of the Air Photographs Unit to RCAHMS in 1993 when this function ceased.
